Build-A-Bear, Creative Challenge
The Creative Challenge: Design a promotional item that can be used to help advertise and stir up sales for a particular toy company of your choosing.

Founded in 1997, Build-A-Bear Workshop lets kids, teens and their parents customise and build stuffed animals which nurtures creativity, self-expression, decision making and bonding.

I aimed to develop a promotional item for Build-A-Bear that embodies the company’s core values, promoting creativity, self-expression, and decision- making. My goal was to create an item that is an extension of the workshop experience, making Build-A-Bear accessible to a broader audience. The item is designed to generate buzz for the company, whilst at the same time being fun and engaging for their main target audience of children and teens.

Build-A-Bear’s newest edition: Shoelace Badges. This promotional item extends the in-store experience, allowing children and young teens to carry the fun of building a bear with them wherever they go, be it the playground, park, or various other places. It’s an excellent way for Build-A-Bear to advertise and engage both children and parents. Shoelace Badges provide a cost-effective way to enjoy the Build-A-Bear experience with numerous customization options that enhance the core values of creativity, self-expression, and decision-making.
